Aten, First Bow of Sa Jerag Talunas in the Jungles of Gor:

Born of earth, but now of Gor. Her earliest memories of this world are of finding herself in the city of Talmont. Alone, scared, and unaware of the ways of this society, she quickly learns the feel of steel forcibly placed around her neck. Stripped of her clothes and her dignity , she is made to wear the silks of a city kajira. Using her natural charms, and seemingly pleasing looks, she becomes a favorite of the Magistrate, who prefers to have her at his heel. Fortunately for her, she is never made to suffer the ultimate indignity of having to please in the furs. During a time when she wasnt being watched, she slips out of the city. Her first intention is to wander the adjacent woods and lands, but finds herself soon lost and alone, once again. After some time, she finds a harbor, and stows away on a boat. Not caring where it goes, her next stop is Cardonicus, where she is captured and re-collared by a city Warrior. Having her but a few days, her restless spirit has her wandering the woods once more, only to be taken captive by a panther of the Var Viverra She tribe. Making the huntress aware of who's collar she was in, only made the huntress' decision to keep her easier. Out of hate, or spite to the Warrior, she was taken to the tribe camp, and enslaved to the Var Viverra She. During this time is when she has her first experiences with the wild women. She learns the hardships they face, and the courage to make a stand against the male tyranny that rules this world. Here, is where she see's the many huntress' as they come and go about the camp. Watching them fight, spar, and live their lives, the seed is planted within her. This is her calling in this new world. Every chance she had, when no one was around, she picked up a weapon; be it bow, spear or dagger, practicing the art of using each. After uncounted days, the confidence in her own abilities reached a point to where survival in the wilds seemed plausible. She would go alone, and either survive on her own, or find a tribe to join. But this time, she would not be a slave.....she would be a Huntress!

Unknown to the others in the camp, not even the other slaves, she had been storing the items in the woods that she would need for her journey to a new life. Finally, on a day when she knew the others would be gone for an extended time, she made her break for freedom. Her first stop once outside the camp was to where she stashed her new clothing. Tearing off the silks, and replacing them with some borrowed skins from the camp, she immediately felt different....alive for the first time in her lift. She next gathered her weapons, and food rations, then started upon her long trek. Avoiding others, seemingly for days, even weeks maybe, she found herself in the Vosk River region. Having heard a tribe resided in the Hills of Etiocles, she headed that way. Soon, she found them, or they found her. She was tested, and proved herself to be worthy of joining the Pa-Ri-Tor tribe.

Taking to her new life very easily, she rapidly becomes one of the tribes best fighters. Her skills readily apparant, she is asked to be a trainer of weapons and fighting. As time went by, she becomes an Elder of the tribe, a position she was proud to hold. After many passings of the moon, she grows weary of life in the harsh, mountainous region that had become her home. Once again, her restlessness festering inside her, gnawing at her constantly, she gives in, and sets out on a journey to lush, greener lands. She remembers an old friend who was the Chieftess of a Taluna tribe in the tropical jungles, and sets her path that way. Just before her homeland is at the edge of her sight, she turns and looks back once more, pausing and standing motionless. She just stares toward the mountains, until the coolness of the tears running down her cheeks break her from the trance. Wiping her tears and her nose on her sleeve, she sets off again, never to look back until reaching the jungles she had heard about. Welcomed into the Sa' Jerag Talunas, she felt right at home immediately.........and a new chapter starts in her life......
