voices in the night...

I dreamt of You last night..I dreamt I were
out on gor…a risky place…captures, fighting, hissing, screams everywhere…every day…the gorean tide…the raids rolling in …men grabbing their girls for the night…shouting and fighting …and suddenly…YOU were there…You ve seen me and I cringed in Your brightness…in Your appearance…in Your proud self assured way…truth and honesty…so natural…so self assured...so Dominant...I can t stand on my feet anymore…defenseless...

spellbound...see it coming...the battling noises only a background hiss of the surf of the sea...

and I stare...like the rabbit looks at the tiger…approaching me...SO much fear!...fear fear fear...I see it coming!...

like a rolling giant thundering wave, foam sizzling on its sky- high crest, dark and elegant…so strong…so forceful, so sure of its course…so uncaring in its care...whirling me around...grabbing me, making me obey, commanding…and I struggle to come up, to breathe to resist!!...still hissing!..the resistance weakening…pleading…

PLEASE DON T DROWN ME! PLEASE
LET ME BREATHE

until subspace lurks and an inner calmness washes over me…where is up?…where is down?...flooooaaating…dreaming…I let go...I let it happen…am I falling?…it hurts not...oh no, not at all...relax in your fear...

tears welling up in my eyes...relax...

its only fear...let it happen…my blood rushing into my lower belly…arching my throat...vulnerable…”aye, I will…aye, I submit…aye, whatever You wish”…its done

for no reason I am proud...its done...

to me…I m innocent…a world shrinking to the length of my chain…my awareness ending where the length of my chain ends..its all I ever knew…found my dedication…where am I?...little me in wonderland…so naturally kneeling...did I ever stand?....sooo welcome…so pleasant…so right to do…wear loving silks and kneel, spread my knees..I m not ashamed...its done to me...my legs are open…enter me, make me scream, skewer me, I live for you! and hold TIGHT...wet my lips…breathe…open for love…easy access, open to be taken…and offering my FIRE, my URGE, my NEED, my sweetness and romantic

dances…little daisy on the sunny meadow…sensual serves, hot kisses at night and my writhing moaning body in the furs…my very self, hidden me but always there…ready to take over…lost to the world…found myself… my heart beating up to my throat and the full depth of my submission opens up wide and far to the sun...to be pleasant, to entertain, to be loyal, to praise my Owner, look up in admiration and desire with tears of trust in my eyes and push all my devotion to make it a heaven…make it last…floating along with the current…

washed here and there…never caring…I m made to…emotion is my realm…

voices in the night…I m listening...

whispers in the wind...

'it is a beautiful moment when a woman realizes that..who owns her is her love Mistress, and the Mistress realizes the girl she bought, looking up at her, tears in her eyes, is Her love slave' (adapted from Beasts of Gor, Pg.236)

however, John Norman published his work 40 years ago, and misconceptions about women are what make his books susceptible to critique: it is NOT a male virtue to lovingly care and accept the power exchange that is typical for a working D/s relationship. Femaleness expresses itsself in many ways and it is a VERY female attribute to care and love and nurture and teach...the ability to conceive the love and trust given..to wield it for the best of Mistress and sub...are very female in nature...the sensitivity for emotions and love, mixed with a superior understanding of the submissives expressions can intensify the D/s relationship...the deeper understanding of the emotions involved being part of her natural feminity that simply leave no doubt about her Leadership and enable her to Dom so very superbly..causing the sub to excel her own abilities for the deep sense of safety in her helpless devotion, allowing her to submit with all her heart in the awareness that she is known inside out...

it is this awareness of her femininity that awakens an awareness of my submission i ve never known...her natural self confidence that she wields as lightly as a feather that crashes down on me like a thunderstorm, leaving me in a whirl of emotions every description would fail at...

her mastering me makes me forget my hot tears dripping on my hands on the keyboard as well as my giggles and sighs of love or stunned silence that rises goosebumps all over my body in my admiration of her and my desire to be pleasant for her and to a state of constant alertness and an inner consciousness of a deep devotion for her...

however...mostly I simply can't understand how she guides me...I kneel because it is the natural thing to do...I need not understand...I simply do...

...and end in helplessly stammering

Capsluts

What does that term mean?
the Urban Wikipedia defines

Capsluts:
Refers to a female (or male) who continually texts/calls a member of the opposite (or same) sex whom they wish to fornicate with obsessively […]
Generally that would not desirable for members of a Taluna tribe from the Tribe's perspective. The nature of a Taluna tribe implies that free women are living together in the jungles, hunt together, live together and act as a group and avoid bringing their Sisters into unnessessary danger. Capsluts according to the above definition could rather submit with the benefit of a continuous sexual availability.
However there is a slightly different definition in our sl gor: Here the term ‘Capslut’ refers to a Gorean who desires to be captured and calls another gorean to ‘come and get her’ or walks into or stays purposefully in a situation where a capture is probable.
Obvious signs are lingering on the battlefield after raids, the approach of opposing groups without disguise or using offensive language and behaviour towards members of opposing groups without care for consequences and without sufficient back up in numbers or outstanding battle skill.
Capture in ‘hostile’ environments e.g. fortresses or cities of opposing groups without the ability to actually win a battle, or starting raids in vastly inferior numbers are other outward signs for a desire to be captured.
Capture roleplay generally makes the captured person available to the capturer in the framework of her limits. A very slack set of limits allows for more brutality and bestiality, unlimited time for a long duration of captivity.
Since a tribe is a close- knit community the tribe members are soon to notice and may draw back in their efforts to raid or trade that tribe member out, since she will usually be captured again soon enough anyways.
Since every captive, no matter how she behaves is the 'receiving' part of a roleplay, a desire for a pride show e.g. Sisters raiding in large numbers is preferred. Very large groups with good defenses are frequented more as massive raids are more probable. However, rescue operations, be it trades or raids are the killer of good roleplay that they interrupt. Sooner or later the capturers will tire of it and squeeze the captive out. The efforts of the capturer to reward his or her captive with quality roleplay inside the framework of the personal limits would be wasted.
Now and then a a capture roleplay is of an excessive nature. However, if the captive did not limit that in her profile, it can be assumed that she is entirely comfortable with it. Excessive roleplay is therefore no reason to end it prematurely.
Since in sl capture times and limits and even preferences can be defined in the set of personal limits there is no need for rescue operations at all: If a captive does not limit her time of captivity she obviously does not need her captivity to be limited in its duration and is happy with any length of time.
Tribes that excessively raid for members with an unusual frequency of captivity will sooner or later overdo: The capturers tire of interrupted roleplay and give up on their efforts for quality and the members of the groups capturer and captive belong to either complain or do not join anymore in frequent raids of the same people for the personal preferences of a few.
The consequence is unnecessary drama between the groups.
Since capture roleplay DOES happen to ‘innocent’ tribe members that are not defined in this post it is for the tribe leaders to decide if any rescue is appropriate. A Sister who is frequently captured by the same people should definetly rather rp her captivity out and enjoy it in its full duration rather than be rescued and be captured again.
Another aspect of the tribe leadership deciding individually IF and WHEN a rescue is appropriate may well be an added thrill for the captive. Also, every capture roleplay becomes stale after a while and the capturer will slacken the defenses of his roleplay: It is frequently far easier to win a rescue operation or get an easy trade after a few days of captivity. It will therefore be frequently in the best interest of the tribe to let a capture rp run for a length of time.
Sa- Jerag tribe leadership will keep track of who is captured for what time and by whom to enhance the quality of gorean capture roleplay for everyone to enjoy. I will now and then post that list in this blog.
Despite all the above mentioned, please remember: There is nothing wrong with capture rp! ENJOY!!!!! Its one of the pillars of sl- gor: Capture rp is meant to run for a length of time as an erotic twosome for the partners in roleplay to get to know each other and find love. The captive also gets insight into other groups and new ideas to enhance her own roleplay. You are a roleplayer in a different group and on a different sim for the duration of your roleplay, which is part of the fun.

II. ‘Capsluts’ approaching the tribe
Frequently wandering male goreans approach the tribe in different ways to be captured (female goreans never do that to my experience, they rather come as slaves, dressed in silks). It is understandable. However, before we begin capture roleplay we should consider:
- none of us volunteered as slaver or FG. It demands considerable dedication to train slaves in their behaviour and guide them through the network of ‘Orders’ and ‘limitations’. Sa Jerag is no place for tribe Kajiri until a slaver and a FG can be appointed
- Sa Jerag has two active Mistresses. Contact them first before you make a slave if you do not wish to keep him/ her yourself
- as a capturer it is your prerogative to decide if and what kind of roleplay you offer. Our tribe prides in quality rp, please make sure you have the time and dedication for it.
- If you start rp with an incoming wanderer looking to be captured, please be aware that the captive may ask his group for a rescue operation. Lovers of Gor is a homestead sim and not really suited for massive combative action. To avoid moaning, please consider to take your captive to a five- star sim.
- Captives taken during a raid are usually not what this post is about: Consider a timely release or a trade if you take captives at all and do not bring them to lovers of gor to avoid the massive lag during the ensuing raid.
- be fair: there are MASSES of bored subs on Gor: Instead of working an unwilling captive you may consider offering your collar to a kajira.
- make sure your captive is an adult. Let your captive confirm in IM or open chat. Beginning in August the sim NEEDS to be set to either payment on file or verified adult.
- captives on Lovers of Gor have the right to tp out ANYTIME and without reason given. We rp for captives to enjoy, they are in no way obliged to stay if they do not like it.
- we have no facilities on Lovers to keep captives over a lengthy period. Once any of the rp partners logs, the rp ends.
- make sure you are aware of the limits of your captive.
- if you hear any moaning about the direction the rp moves into, end it. That saves you unnecessary drama. A captive shall be fun, you are in no way obliged to ‘serve’ anyone with capture rp.

The six pillars of sl gor an overview for new roleplayers on Gor

a plentyful source of books, making for a thrilling and rich roleplay on a WORLD, a world that is archaic, a world where heroes and heroines exist! a world that is quite influenced by elements of ancient greece, nordic lore, the expeditions of the early 19th century explorers all around the world and a general philosophy of an author born in 1931 and his view about the relationship of sexes.

2) metered bow and melee fights, entertaining in their speed and variation

3) capture roleplay with varying roles, with roleplayers frequently sharing BDSM and other sexual fantasies

4) Gorean D/s with many elements of bondage and other Dominant – submissive interactions

5) A beautiful environment with captivating landscapes, towns, strongholds and camps in a wilderness quite untouched by our modern civilization

6) Roleplayers from all over the world joining in and getting to know each other on a very personal level

These all add to the general popularity of our sl Gor.

Variation of the emphasis of pillars 2-6 are frequent, in that individual roleplayers choose to play out more or less of each of them by choosing appropriate roles.

#2 and #3 are more emphasised in panther and outlaw tribes, or omitted in lifestyle environments

#4 is more emphasised in less battling environments like the cities of Gor, where the roleplayers can choose if they prefer a submissive ((kajirae)) or Dominant role

Generally our Gor has more female than male and more submissive than Dominant participants, e.g. every male inhabitant in a city of Gor won t have a problem to swiftly acquire a chain of many kajirae serving his every whim.

A Taluna tribe has the advantage that the roleplayers can actively influence whom they roleplay with, the Talunas have a choice how often they join metered fights or capture roleplay. A very large part of capture roleplay is agreed on before, unwanted capture roleplay is extremely rare.

A very active and creative roleplayer will be more frequently invited to capture roleplay and with the kind of roleplay determines the direction the roleplay moves into.

A careful or passive roleplayer will have less capture roleplay and frequently be sent home very early:

ITS IN YOUR HANDS!

Behind the scene a crowd of sim owners works hard to make the experience and sharing THEIR dream pleasing for everyone. They are rewarded with income by markets and donations.

Goreans are frequently met with hostility: The role of women in gorean roleplay is mildly said absolutely antiquated…and many assumptions of John Norman, like the inner desire of every woman to submit is simply wrong. However the large number of fans prove that gorean roleplay meets some deficiencies in our daily lives:

We are emancipated enough to express what we want: Womens lib was needed to fight for sexual equality. But we don t want to be men, we want to be women with equal rights to be what we are: Ourselves!

120 seconds rezz time

we are in tropical Gor…dark evergreen rainforests…mud smeared Talunas sneaking through the murk and through the bushes…suddenly the birds fall silent…monkeys screeching and hopping through the branches! The Taluna stops in her track…listens for the unusual drip of water from a paddle dipped into the river…for voices…for rustling in the bushes…she slams her spear against a large tree: boom boom! and fast little feet carry her to the camp…

not the right time to hang around at the ‘docks’ and use the map to estimate how many raiders are needed to dominate the jungles!

Talunas USE their environment! Strangers won’t be able to enter the jungles unnoticed for long! Talunas know the paths, the animals, the terrain as good as no one else!

Some sims use ‘weaker females’ and ‘stronger melee’ to enhance the ‘skills’ of their men, reflecting their superior strength. Lovers of Gor uses a low rezz time at the docks to simulate the advantage of the home terrain for sneaky stealthy Talunas.

Last night we had raiders on the island…but instead of leaving the dangerous environment after the arrows started to fly they fought bravely back until they lost and then complained: Why? Because the new double rule of Gor is: 'Either I win or I call it invalid!' They chose the second option and left.

We don t have any unusual rules, except this one. Now we have it hugely advertised. I hope it helps. No blood and honour on the large battlefields of the gorean plains, no challenge for a duel, nor will Talunas accept any. Talunas fight the guerrilla wars. It’s the jungles! A mean unfair sneaky feathered arrow from the jungles, the bite of a snake, the sudden trap:

“As our canoe moved away we looked back. “After them!” cried the girl. She slipped from her chains and bent to the grass beside her, seizing up a light spear. From the, brush about her appeared numbers of girls similarly clad and armed. We saw canoes being thrust into the water.”

Fawley's gorean bio

"It's a girl, Leon." said the woman in green smiling faintly. He stood there proud and rushed to his wife and the bundle she was holding. Looking down on his first and only daughter he sighed with doubt yet happiness. While in my early ages I ran into the forest even though my parents told me numerous of stories of the vicious panthers. That was only a myth. Plus the flora always held a dear place to my heart. One afternoon that day was one of the great changes that made me who I am today.

My village was raided and destroyed then men and boys were killed and the women taken to be sold I'd imagine, except a few women laid slain along with the men. I discovered my mother and father's lifeless bodies near the bosk barn. It greatly saddened me. So I fled...

I took all I could with me my best dress and hairpins along with my mother's dagger passed down from her mother's. I boarded a ship going to Lydius. I wasn't sure where that was. When I arrived I was quiet not sure what to do, where to go or even who to talk to.
Just then seeing a woman with fire red hair dressed in green. I knew she would help, and that she did. she adopted me after hearing my story and I had two adopted siblings, which I knew I was differnt from them.

Finally being taught the essentials of being a Free Woman was no easy task. Cause I am as stubborn as a bosk sometimes. So I decided to explore gor and was it when I arrived at Port Cos that was another drastic change of my life. A man threatend me with marriage or a collar and held himself against me. This man was something I wished to be with or be owned. One night he passed out on the streets drinking too much liquid I escaped from his sights and fled as far south as I could. Arriving in the Jungle was no easy task I had to live off the flora I loved so much about and be wary of everyone I met, until I saw a blonde angel and offered me a new life. Which I took gratefully and began to learn the ways of the Sa Jerag Tribe.

My En is my teacher, my leader, my poet and I will give my life for my tribe any means neccesary.

And I am PROUD to be a TALUNA!

structure of Sa Jerag

Sa Jerag is us! However I am aware that you all have personal preferences. It enriches our tribe!

The following positions in the tribe are available...but some are already assigned for...do you have preferences?

Se...the second in command, the Se is responsible to offer and lead activities during the absense of Chieftess and En ((H))...the 'H' means, to be filled by a Huntress...Ella, MIA...open position..

Tor...the third in command, the Tor is the 'mother' of the tribe. Its her who talks to everyone, sees that we are happy and initiates changes to make our tribal life a better experience. The Tor cares for us and listens to us. ((H)) Isalia

Elders...Elders and officers are the decision committee of the tribe. Elders propose new officers, defensive structurs, but also identify and work on shortcomings.((H/O)) Dayna, MIA; Smiggles...still open...

First Bow...superior in bowskills, the first bow advises us how to improve our skills, the First Bow is the spearhead of every battle and for tactical movement ((H)) Lacy, MIA...open...

If First bow and First Spear are both online, the First Spear leads the attack, the First Bow the retreat ((H))..open...
The clue of battling is us moving in at the right time, moving together as a group, moving out and the right time, and moving the right way. Likewise, First Spear and First Bow organize our defensive stragegy and structures

Scouts...the Scouts gather information about opposing groups, about locations, sim rules and developments all over gor. In battling situations the Scout moves in first and well before everyone else, gathering information about the wherebouts of our goal and opposition numbers, so when the main body of our numbers arrive we all know exactly what obstacles we face and where ((H)) Aten, MIA...dina...becky...

Slaver..is responsible for training and leading kajirae, also responsible for creating events involving kajirae and for recruiting kajirae ((H))...neema,MIA...open...

First Girl...assists the Slaver...((k))...open...

Voice of Larah...the voice of Larah communicates with every friend on Gor that we have outside the tribe and with diplomatic missions with other groups. Since the Voice of Larah also communicates with sim Owners and Admins, with advertizing in the Hub and other Gorean ooc places a part of her task is ooc ((H/k))..open...

Messenger..assisting the Voice of Larah...((H/k))...open...

Scribe...keeps our history and keeps us up to date on all the relevant changes...((H/k))...open...

Ancient...is not nessessarily ancient! grins! but the Ancient reminds us of our tradition of Gor and is responsible for Gorean events...((H/k))...open...

Mystical...the Mystical is in dialogue with the Ancient, she represents the mystic and magic life of a jungle tribe ((H/k))...Anuta...

Trader...is selling goods our jungles produce in return for desperately needed items we cannot produce like arrowheads and medical supplies, but also wine and candy ((H,k))...open...

‚By the books’: a disney movement of some selected Panther tribes?

now and then it happens:

two outlaws/panthers/
pirates/Vikings/
red caste-
you name them,
appear on the docks,
after 30 seconds rezz time they RACE into the sim, PEW PEW PEW PEW and start their enchanting roleplay

‘takes bow, breaks it’

‘ties treeslut’

‘drags her’

when just by chance two mambas appear on the docks and down them, the usual reaction is

INVALID!

READ THE BOOKS, TREESLUTS!

and they tp away

so far so good. No time to tell them they happened to be in the jungles and

‘Sorry, we are Talunas!’

‘Panther/ Taluna/same thing! CHEATER!’

discussions are useless then. However it proves us having been lucky we were not part of a surely enchanting roleplay anyways

Now the btb discussion is quite educated, its not their fault. But it’s the fault of a list that went around which was so very oversimplifying that those who care for nothing just read one truth:

- Panthers who are not loners to be picked like an apple are cheaters

again, that is not a fault of the btb discussion. The btb discussion is faulty in one very essential fact and I ll elaborate that a bit:

1. Correct definition of a tribe in gorean roleplay
A tribe in second life gor is a group of roleplayers who roleplay a tribe. Period

2. Faulty definition of a tribe by the so called btb people
A tribe in second life gor is a matter of belonging to a second life group, no matter how they were found, by group notes in the information channels, friends from rl or co- workers in a danceclub or elsewhere. A tribe member is only a person who has that second life group in her profile.

They make themselves tags for the tag readers and roleplay together with the same tags and they make allowances in the land group for officers and they offer their members 25-100 prims in a hut.

Its called metagaming and we do not allow metagaming on Lovers of Gor.

Why are we doing that? Because the so called btb movement is in its core a metagaming movement

Sa Jerag will not take part in metagaming.

Question: If Sa Jerag does not define Sa Jerag by metagaming as being in an sl group, who is Sa Jerag?Answer: My Sisters who stand by me are Sa Jerag.

Question: then you are responsible for the large battles on gor?
Answer: No. Sa Jerag is not responsible for ANY battle. Sa Jerag is not the question.Sa Jerag is the reply.

Back to the little entertaining roleplay I quoted above:

Any intruder or raider in the jungles needs to be aware she may or may not be attacked by a number of various people, male, female, villagers, tribes. They all have different motivations, but they all are a threat.

Sadly, the btb movement chose that path. Sadly they chose to give the easy answer to a complex question.

Rules of Lovers of Gor

On behalf of the Sa Jerag, we welcome you to our island. We have worked hard to provide friends and strangers alike with an island which reflects the truth of Gor, but allows for individual development and community. Those of you new to Gor are welcome as well, but please be advised there is a storied and structured culture here, so you may want to pay special attention to the rules summed up below.

Raiders, including Outlaws, Pirates and Mercenaries are required to read Clauses 1, 6 and 10 of this welcome document carefully.

NOTE: The Observer tag is valid in the Sim, but Observers are asked not to interfere with roleplay and to choose quiet times to ask questions.

Please also have a look at our blog! http://sa-jerag.blogspot.com/

General

1) All are welcome to our home, but be advised there are rules we ask all follow. Please also note the interpretation of all rules are subject to the High Council of the Sa Jerag. The interests of the tribe and legitimate visitors to the Isle will be upheld over those of criminals, outlaws and griefers at all times, up to and including the banning of persons disruptive to our well being at our discretion, and not subject to appeal.

2) We are a role playing community, and as such thing may happen that seem odd or even harsh to an outsider; but undoubtedly it is part of the role. If this does not make sense to you, please read the note below on roleplaying. In addition we ask if you do not know what is going on, do not interfere with what you see. If your interference becomes a problem you can and will be banned from our isle.

3) Slaves are under the protection of their owner or their tribe; do not touch them unless given permission by their Owner. They can be ordered to do no other than menial tasks such as give tours or answer questions to non-owners unless compelled otherwise by their owner. Slaves, both kajirae and kajiru, are expected to act in the traditions of Gor and are considered property of their owner, be they Master or Mistress. Be advised owners are responsible for the behavior of their property and will be alerted of transgressions. Abuse of slaves by non-owners will be dealt with as appropriate.

Capture

4) Lovers of Gor is a capture/force collar island, uncollared slaves and raiders can and will be collared and will face the consequences with honour and understanding.

5) The entry area - the island where you landed is considered a neutral area and is safe for all visitors and Talunas, but only 120 seconds. After that time you may leave again.

5a) Entrance to the Sim must be via island and the ferry. Tping in support is not permitted. This is an island protected by a reef and any ships trying to approach would be wrecked.

Combat

6) All roleplay combat is subject to the adjudication of the High Council of the Sa Jerag.

6a) Combat is allowed only on days when the green indicator permits it. Days when the light is yellow are lifestyle days kept for teaching, and domestic rp. Trading is permitted at all times.

6b) A minimum number of the tribe will have to be there for combat to take place. Sometimes we need to sleep too.

6c) All raiders are required to have a valid reason for being there. This should be notecarded so it can be presented to the adjudicators if need be.

7) combat rules here

8) Captured raiders will be collared and may be sold as slaves. If you are captured, don't whine. You chose to attack us.

Age restriction

9) We are an adult humans only sim. Gor certainly has children, but we are a mature-themed community and as such there is no place for the underage. We are in addition a humans only sim, so please no furries, vampires, cartoon AVs, etc. Yes, there are non-human sentient creatures on Gor. Domesticated or tamed versions of such animals, as long as the person playing them roleplays an animal and not an intelligent human, may be accepted at the discretion of a moderator. In general, though, save your non-human avs for other sims.

A note on Gor

10) Free women are expected to act in the traditions of Gor within reason. Although some latitude can be given, acting lascivious or overly-agressive, dressing inappropriately, or acting in the manner of kajira will be subject to punishment up to and including enslavement, photographic and or text evidence being forwarded, or other disciplinary action as deemed appropriate. The wearing of veils is not proscribed by law, but is rather a tradition and dependant on the wearer's discretion.

11) Talunas come from the jungles North of Schendi and other similar locations. They seek the jungles and places far away from other contact to escape some of the harshness of Gor. Like Panthers, they shun Male company and will fight only to protect themselves and their tribe and their slaves. They do not raid elsewhere as the idea of a female warrior is an anathema to Gor. There is an exception allowed for the Sa Jerag. They will seek to rescue their own in trouble and they will seek to take revenge on those who offend the honour of the tribe or their own.

"There are no 'female warriors' on Gor. Gor is on the whole an honestly male-dominated realistic world. Indeed, this honesty is one of the things that commends it to romantic, heterosexual, hormonally normal women. Antimenite fantasies, man-hater fantasies, frustrate fantasies, and such, belong elsewhere. There are panther girls, and talunas, on Gor. There are not, however, women warriors. They are unhappy, frustrated, disturbed women half alienated from their sex. They tend to run in dangerous feline packs. Once captured and subdued it is said they make excellent slaves. 'Bring me into the collar if you can!' 'I am now yours, Master.' 'Amazons' are for female frustrates, and perhaps male weaklings, or masochists. Mrs. Conan does not belong in the Gorean world, let her pump her iron elsewhere. In the Gorean world such a character would seem out of place, and silly."

New applicants

12) Lovers of Gor welcomes new members to the island. All potential tribes members must go through three steps to become part of the tribe. First, an application must be filed through a Taluna. An interview will then be scheduled with the En or Se of the tribe. Applicants wishing to become Talunas will have to pass through a process of further approval to become a full Huntress. Initially they will only be accepted as a pledge to the tribe. They are expected to commit to a number of hours a week to remain a member.

All slaves will immediately on application become the property of the tribe. The only exception are slaves who are brought in fully owned by talunas. Pledges may not have slaves except if specially approved by the En or Se of the tribe.

13) The meter used is the GM meter. Members of the tribe, traders and raiders are expecte to wear an up to date version at all times. Failure to do so will invalidate the roleplay and could result in force collar or permanent ejection from the sim

Griefer policy

14) Griefers and persistent offenders will be banned. It's just not funny.

A note on decisions

15) Just because You may be Male does not mean your decisions will overrule that of the administrators.

16) If the sim is closed, just accept it without moaning.

17) Raiding panthers are unacceptable. You live in the Northern Forest. The only exception to this will be for practice purposes when raids can be made with permission.

Have fun

Please have fun and help us make Lovers Isle a living, breathing Gorean community. We will hold events and provide opportunites to assist in this. Also, feel free to experiement with your role: work, play, battle, converse, shop, party, whatever. Just be advised that like life there are rules, and breaking the rules can have consequences.

Talunas by the books

Taluna roleplay is tricky: Everyone compares us with Panthers, applies Panther rules, Panther roleplay to Sa Jerag Talunas in the jungles of Gor. I USE our full name frequently to remind us: Sa Jerag Talunas in the Jungles of Gor!

The books describe a brief interaction of Tarl with Talunas, and it is also briefly described that Talunas capture people by luring them to the river bank, that they enslaved the Pygmies.

However we know that not even Tarl was safe of the black Ubar and was enslaved by Bila Huruma, the mighty Ubar of tropical Gor. However even Bila Huruma does not have full control of the jungles.
Bila Huruma allows the Ukungu region to remain free and not under his hegemony. His realm is not really governable and he may not have cared much about primitive Taluna, Mamba or Pygmie tribes. Even less is known about interactions of Mambas and Talunas.

The term 'by the books' therefore leaves plenty of room for interpretations and might for that reason be misleading. However Bila Huruma, Mambas, Pygmies and Talunas were all hostile towards the northern gorean raiding party. Any gorean entering the jungles would not be prey for all of them. Talunas would try to capture and sell them, Bila Huruma or the Mfalmes ((jungle tribe chiefs)) would capture and enslave them, Mambas would capture and eat them.

http://sa-jerag.blogspot.com/2008/12/what-is-non-and-can-be-deducted-talunas.html

The only safe assumption we can make is that all three kinds of tribes hunted in these jungles: An intruding party of raiders is therefore NOT safe with ANY of them. We can assume they did not form alliances, but we know they all battled any gorean who is not from the jungles. If you are attacked by a half naked male while rading a Taluna tribe, don't come to ME to complain!

Larrrrrrrrrrrrahhhh!!

Lovers of Gor – the phoenix of Sa Jerag

Our Island is back!

Lovers of Gor will be
exotic!
more beautiful!
better performing!
wilder!
breathing the adventure
and sensuality of our gorean life!

but Lovers of Gor is more:
Its YOUR home!
YOUR fortress!
YOUR lovenest!

Why do we need an island of our own? Because we are the QUEENS of Gor! We are PROUD to be Talunas, PROUD for what WE can achieve, PROUD for our Sisters! PROUD for our girls, PROUD for our success!

Lovers of Gor:
yes, our island is a place for love…for screams of joy when sweat covered bodies touch and glide…for searching eyes gazing and whispers in the night…

Sisters: Lift your chin and stand up! for our true selves, for each other!

We leave our footprint, our mark and our banner of pride: Our true strength lies in ourselves and in the Sister at my side! That’s why we hug and shout when we are together: My Sister is my strength!

And Lovers of Gor is the symbol of it!
