now and then it happens:two outlaws/panthers/
pirates/Vikings/
red caste-
you name them,
appear on the docks,
after 30 seconds rezz time they RACE into the sim, PEW PEW PEW PEW and start their enchanting roleplay
‘takes bow, breaks it’
‘ties treeslut’
‘drags her’
when just by chance two mambas appear on the docks and down them, the usual reaction is
INVALID!
READ THE BOOKS, TREESLUTS!
and they tp away
so far so good. No time to tell them they happened to be in the jungles and
‘Sorry, we are Talunas!’
‘Panther/ Taluna/same thing! CHEATER!’
discussions are useless then. However it proves us having been lucky we were not part of a surely enchanting roleplay anyways
Now the btb discussion is quite educated, its not their fault. But it’s the fault of a list that went around which was so very oversimplifying that those who care for nothing just read one truth:
- Panthers who are not loners to be picked like an apple are cheaters
again, that is not a fault of the btb discussion. The btb discussion is faulty in one very essential fact and I ll elaborate that a bit:
1. Correct definition of a tribe in gorean roleplay
A tribe in second life gor is a group of roleplayers who roleplay a tribe. Period
2. Faulty definition of a tribe by the so called btb people
A tribe in second life gor is a matter of belonging to a second life group, no matter how they were found, by group notes in the information channels, friends from rl or co- workers in a danceclub or elsewhere. A tribe member is only a person who has that second life group in her profile.
They make themselves tags for the tag readers and roleplay together with the same tags and they make allowances in the land group for officers and they offer their members 25-100 prims in a hut.
Its called metagaming and we do not allow metagaming on Lovers of Gor.
Why are we doing that? Because the so called btb movement is in its core a metagaming movement
Sa Jerag will not take part in metagaming.
Question: If Sa Jerag does not define Sa Jerag by metagaming as being in an sl group, who is Sa Jerag?Answer: My Sisters who stand by me are Sa Jerag.
Question: then you are responsible for the large battles on gor?
Answer: No. Sa Jerag is not responsible for ANY battle. Sa Jerag is not the question.Sa Jerag is the reply.
Back to the little entertaining roleplay I quoted above:
Any intruder or raider in the jungles needs to be aware she may or may not be attacked by a number of various people, male, female, villagers, tribes. They all have different motivations, but they all are a threat.
Sadly, the btb movement chose that path. Sadly they chose to give the easy answer to a complex question.
